Riley is a graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School, and he served as law clerk to U.S. District Judge A.J. Connor of New Hampshire. Phil's practice concentrates on the defense of civil actions in both state and federal courts. He was a partner at the firm for 14 years and then a senior litigation attorney for CIGNA Corporation for 15 years. Phil re-joined the firm after ACE-USA purchased CIGNA's Property and Casualty Division in 1999, and he is on the approved outside counsel panel for ACE-USA. Phil has been active in community affairs in his hometown of Norwood, Massachusetts where he was a representative Town Meeting member for 25 years and currently serves as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals and is a member of the Norwood Scholarship Foundation.
